EURCAW-Aqua announces the 1st Meeting with the National Competent Authorities
EURCAW-Aqua will hold its 1st Meeting with the National Competent Authorities (NCAs) on 17 December 2025, bringing together representatives from across the EU for an online discussion on aquatic animal welfare.
The meeting aims to introduce the mission, structure, and core activities of EURCAW-Aqua, strengthen channels of communication with the NCAs, and explore opportunities for collaboration in the coming years. A dedicated session will focus on welfare indicators for fish during transport, highlighting key risks, management practices, and science-based assessment tools.
The event is organised by EURCAW-Aqua and hosted by the University of Crete.
