EURCAW-Aqua participated in a webinar organised by the Aquaculture Advisory Council (AAC), which gathered more than 120 stakeholders from across the aquaculture sector. During the session, our colleague Francesc Pedrós presented the role and current activities of EURCAW-Aqua.
The webinar focused on the Code of Good Practices on Fish Welfare and Fish Welfare Indicators, recently developed by the AAC. EURCAW-Aqua highlighted its work in supporting competent authorities, with particular emphasis on the implementation of EU legislation, inspector training, and stakeholder engagement through the Reflection Board.
The discussion provided a valuable opportunity to showcase coordinated efforts at EU level and to reinforce collaboration with DG MARE, DG SANTE, and the wider aquaculture community.
